Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I think about what I thought I would. My Dresden Files love has leveled out this year, and that was the main fandom I was writing for. I still love it, but I'm not bursting with ideas like I was for it. The fandoms I wanted to write in I found very hard, for some reason. I'm still trying to figure them out.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2009?
Probably Star Trek. First of all, I wasn't expecting to love the movie so much. I've never been able to get into TOS, though I watched TNG and DS9, so I didn't really know what to expect. But I loved it and I loved the characters. [livejournal.com profile] bringthehappy is a great environment to try new fandoms, since they are just small and everyone is in such a good mood.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
I think Educational Pursuits. It's slightly OC now because of the Lightman character being more affectionate than he was at the start of the first season, but I'm still pleased with it.

What's your least favorite story of the year, regardless of the reviews it got (or didn't get)?
Home Sweet Home. It got a good response, but I feel like it's nothing I hadn't written previously.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
The only slight risk I took was telling a story from the point of view of an OC, in Modern Day Night. I learned that people don't seem to respond to it very well, since I didn't get many comments, good or bad. Although, it could be that it featured Morgan, a not necessarily well-loved guy. But, I still like it and am pleased with it. No real complaints.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I want to try and finish off my [livejournal.com profile] occhallenge table. I'd like to write in the Castle fandom and more in the Lie to Me fandom. Plus work on other, original projects.

First time I didn't have to correct any html code before posting. Booyah!
