Requesty Thing

Because I'm a leech, I'm stealing this idea from [livejournal.com profile] _medley_.

Below are song lyrics. Guess the song and the artist correctly and I will write a fic for you or make icons/wallpaper/a header for you, of your choice. One song per person. I've tried to go with some of my not obscure selections. And stuff that's in English. Because I don't think anyone would recognize the Thai version of 'Part of Your World'. Including me, since I don't speak Thai. :P

1. One might fall and the other will stand / And one might give where the other won't bend

2. Rescue me from waiting on this line / I won't give up on giving you the chance to blow my mind.

3. And history books forgot about us and the bible didn't mention us

4. Holiday quiet on these streets, except for some stubborn leaves /
That didn't fall with the fall, and now they clatter in vain

5. Cryin' who's your partner, who's your darlin', who's your baby now? /
Who wakes up at night to pull you in?

"Summer Fly" by Hayley Westenra, found by [livejournal.com profile] spacefiend

6. There's a hole in my soul / You can see it in my face / It's a real big place
"Feel" by Robbie Williams, found by [livejournal.com profile] killash

7. So you've taken these pills / For to fill up your soul / And you're drinking them down with cheap alcohol

...boy. I don't think our music overlaps at all. Darn it. *g*

lol. My music consists of showtunes, French pop music, Disney songs in foreign languages I don't always speak, vaguely Christian rock groups and the occasional popular song or artist I've heard on the radio. I don't really listen to the radio very much, though. I always have to like things nobody's ever heard of. 'Tis my lot. :D

Now, I do have some showtunes. Disney music in random foreign languages sounds interesting. I have some tapes (yes, tapes, hush) of a group called Run Rig, and some of their songs are in Gaelic. I have no idea what I'm singing, but I sing 'em really loud anyway. :)

Got number 6!
"I just wanna feel... real looove, fill the home that I live in... I got too much loove, running thru my veins to go to waste.......... Iii just wanna feeeeeeeeeeeeeel, real looooooooooove in the life ever afteeeeeeer.... there's a hooole in my soul, you can see it in my face, it's a real big place...."

Robbie Willams sings a lot better, but I sing it reeeal loud.

How'd I do?

:)

Yay! You got it. What would you like as your prize? :D

Re: Got number 6!
Allrriight! Yippeee!
hehehe

Thank you!

Well, let's see. I've become a BIg fan of your writing... BTW let me take this moment to say "I love your STORIES"!!!! LOVE EM!!!!.... (g) aand, being a huge Dresden follower as well, there's no question what I'd like to choose for my prize.

I love how you handle the TVDresdenverse, and your wonderful insight when it comes to getting into the character's minds. Believe it or not "Nightmares" ( You plotting world domination again? LOL )... though brief is one of my favourite DF stories EVER (I enjoyed TV Bob like mad.. always, hehe)

Oh! And your story "Rescue" is so delicious, Gosh! I've read it about 503849875438730223948 times and plan to keep doing it. (Ancient Mai is so wonderfully annoying... and evil. "Your face is all 'rrarr'," LOL LOL LOL)

I hate that they cancelled the show, they're idiots. It was getting better and better with each episode, and one thing I do regret immensely is that they never got around to introduce Michael and WORSE... dear Thomas! Imagine how THAT particular brotherhood would have been! (and the actor would've had to be SOOOO... sigh) er, oh well.. getting sidetracked here. Sorry, that's never good.

Aaanyway... since you asked about my prize... You already know my favourites... but I haven't finished reading ALL your fics yet, so that may change, hehe. Your Murphy/Harry stories are really good. I'm not much of a shipper, but I'm a big fan of Murphy (she's cool beyond words), Harry/Bob friendship stories do really make my day and I can't EVER say no to good action packed fics.

With all that said, I'd love to read ANYTHING from you, as long as YOU like it. That's the important thing. You rock!

Off now, I'm about to begin reading a story I found around here called "Child's Play" (heard of it?)... it looks reaally reeally long. hehe

(bouncing around in joy)

Cheers!
Killash

Re: Got number 6!
Wow! That was like, a big shower of love! Thank you very much for all the nice things you said! I'm thrilled that you like my writing that much.

I am so pissed off about the cancellation. Everything I like gets canceled. I would have liked to have seen Michael and Thomas too, and the faeries and maybe the Alphas. I guess there's always fanfiction, though. And now I don't have to worry about clashing with future canon. Still, I really wish we'd gotten another season. We tried so hard. :(

So, I'm gonna let you read around here some more, and if anything strikes your fancy for what sort of story you want, let me know. If not, I'll drum up something for you out of my head when I get a good idea. Thanks again for your lovely comment!

Hi! I've been reading through some of your fic ([livejournal.com profile] featherjean pointed me at some of your Dresden fic and I've read a couple others on the Dresden flashfic comm) and just wanted to a) answer one of the lyrics and b) ask if I could friend you.

So,

a) The answer to #5, unless there's another version of this song that I don't have, is Hayley Westenra's "Summer Fly" from the album Celtic Treasure.

b) Can I friend you?

Yes, absolutely, friend away! Thanks for coming. :-)

And you are correct, would you like a prize?

Thank you muchly!

If it wouldn't be too much to ask, is there any chance you could upload the song "You Know My Name" that you quoted lines from in your other lyrics post? I very nearly bought the Casino Royale soundtrack solely to get that song until I discovered that the song is not, in fact, on the soundtrack.

Number 2
Well, no one was doing these anymore... and I'm just not good at letting things go. It just EATS at you, y'know?

What can one do? Seek therapy you say? Already tried, no cure.

Lord almighty! Number 2 is "The Eleventh Hour" by Jars of Clay

"Rescue me from waiting on this line, I won't give up on giving you a chance to blow my mind....
Let the eleventh hour quickly pass me by,
I'll find you when I think I'm out of time.................."

Amen
:P

Re: Number 2
You are correct again. I LOVE that song. It makes me think of the Doctor and Rose.

You still haven't given me your request for the first one you got, missy. :D

Re: Number 2
Yay!! I love that song too, though it's been ages since I heard it last. I had the Cd but it was stolen at a party. Ack! I haven't re-bought it yet.

hehe. MY prize!
Ok, well. I love your fanfic so any story would be cool. If Bob is there that'd be even cooler. I'm a sucker for Bob/Harry friendship.
;P
